70’s night organiser, Gary Kirkland said: “A massive thank you to everyone who supported us in raising an incredible £800 towards good causes. The night was a huge success which really exceeded our expectations”.
The night’s success really is a testament to the charitable spirit of everyone involved, especially those who supported us on the night. We would like to thank Bar Eleven, DJ Jamie, and of course Vegas Elvis for their contributions.
The feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive, we are now planning further themed events and we would welcome suggestions from anyone.
All proceeds are to be split equally between Calderdale Pride and Stop Hate UK. Stop hate UK provide support for people affected by hate crime, as many in the LGBT community experience hate crime due to their sexual orientation or gender identity we feel that it is important that our organisations work together to promote diversity and inclusiveness.
